Tis the season...

It has been some time since I posted on this blog. I have had many things happen this past year from the birth of my first grand child in February,my son's marriage in May,our first summer at the 'Cotage', and now awaiting my second granchild's arrival on Christmas Day! I have spent quite a bit of time getting Garden Girl up and running on Facebook. I have had lots of positive feedback & Likes for Garden Girl ~online shop and Garden Girl Event Rentals & Staging. Keep on Liking & Sharing! Garden Girl Event Rentals & Staging has taken off like wildfire... I have many brides renting fabulous new & vintage props and accessories to enhance their wedding decor. Many pieces are one of a kind! Schedule a visit to the shop to see everything we have to offer to make your special day incredible!! Garden Girl continues to offer new and vintage pieces to discriminating buyers. We search high and low for unique items that speak to us... then we offer them for sale to you! Check back often as our inventory is always changing. We still have our scheduled 'shop sales' where we showcase items we have been busily collecting. Our next scheduled sale - 'Holly-days' is on Saturday Dec 1 & Sunday Dec 2. Times and location to be determined. (The shop is currently full of event rental items so we may have our sale elsewhere)...details to follow ~

February & robins?

It seems like last week was Christmas and I just agreed to another New Years' resolution... February is here and we saw a robin eating berries from our pear tree yesterday. How wonderful! I am full of anticipation these days with the upcoming birth of my daughter's first child. So exciting! I am trying to keep my resolution so I might fit into a lovely dress for my son's wedding in May. I am busy ordering items and searching out vintage pieces for spring shows and sales. Brides are knocking on my door to view my selection of items available for rent for weddings etc... Plans are getting underway for a great spring 2012 season for Garden Girl all the way around! We have just updated our website with the new dates for our shop and shows...please join us!

Christmas OPEN HOUSE

I'm putting the finishing touches on wreathes, with bows and sparkles...
gathering cedar boughs,rose hips & berries to create seasonal arrangements...the feeling of winter & Christmas is in the air !

When we return from the show in Markham, we'll be readying the shop for our
Christmas OPEN HOUSE... Sat Dec 3rd & Sun Dec 4th from 10am ~ 4pm. Come and browse and sample some refreshments!! Cheers & Seasons' Greetings !!

Reds,orange & golds- Fall is in the air!

Where did summer go? The gardens look tired after their flourish of activity awaiting a well deserved rest... colourful mums & pumpkins replace them. Thanksgiving is upon us as we celebrate the bounty of the harvest with family and friends. On Sun. October 23rd, Garden Girl will be at the Cobourg Lions' Centre from 12 ~ 4 for the Lasting Memories Bridal Show. We will be showcasing the many rental items we offer to enhance your wedding or next event.
November 18 ~ 20 we will be exhibiting at the Markham Fairgrounds in the 'Home for the Holidays' Christmas show. This is one of the premiere holiday shows in the area! We look forward to seeing you soon!!

Summer is almost here!

The lazy,hazy days of summer are almost upon us. With all of the rain this spring, the garden is looking lovely! We have displayed our garden accents etc. at garden shows already this year and have the Marketplace in Victoria Park upcoming July 1st weekend. Oh how much fun we have at the park during the holiday weekend!
